Micarta is made up from layers of linen/canvas/paper, which is compressed and bonded together in a thermosetting phenolic resin.

It was originally used in electrical applications and is not affected by oils/damp conditions etc, which makes it ideal for knife handles.

Having used this product myself for making knife handles i can say that it is easy to work with, takes a really good polish and lends itself to numerous finishes.

What you will receive is 1 piece 140mm x 75mm x10mm.

(Sizes are approximate – this is usually enough for 1 pair of scales for an average size knife)
